Pam Jat – ‘Silent Whisper to Doubt’

My skin did flow with passion when I beheld your face
Because you are indeed an epitome of beauty and grace
We met on the street, but I felt guilty watching you go by
The memories of your radiant smile shoot me up the sky
There are more questions than answers like; You and I?
More doubts than solutions like; moments don’t lie
You keep assaulting my memories but thoughts are no crime
Still waiting for my dream turned reality: When you will be mine
Time defines moments, moments tell of people
So it is hard forgetting you, unless I become a cardiac cripple

Whisper your name to my ears. I’m lost
Who believes this; A stranger I trust
Doubt has misguided me, a platonic frost
The old are lost. The young have lust

I only saw your lips move when you told me your name
I became a statue; my soul..with joy you did enflame
My arteries don’t function, so tell me medical causes that are lame
And if my heart beat ceases, my lovely mortem apparition will spare you the blame
If your beauty were a plant, I’ll render the planet a dessert
Searching for more of same person, the defence I’ll impliedly assert
Wondering thoughts, trances and visions of you- I can’t avert
A convert to the trenches of certainty, honest state of heart
Explain to me how a first eye sight convicts the flesh of chances
Too timid to play the ‘man,’ too slow to sketch my advances

Whisper your name to my ears. I’m lost
Who   believes this; A stranger I trust
Doubt has misguided me, a platonic frost
The old are lost. The young have lust
