Run Your Race [Will You Finish?]

This is a poem  that I wrote a while ago when I was telling someone to find a solution to their problem. It took a while but their problem was eventually sorted. After a while I got thinking, who’s going to help me with my problem. I was too busy trying to sort their problem, I didn’t fix the one in my own life.

Eventually, it got me thinking, how we find ourselves trying to sort out other people problems without dealing with the problem that is affecting us.  Matthew 7: 3- 4 Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?”

But I’m not saying that we should be selfish. We still need to look out for others and help when necessary .
So run your race, you have to choose to follow God and have your own relationship with Him.

Run your race [will you finish].
